It’s okay for me to brag that this is the best chili recipe because it’s not my original recipe! It’s my friend Ruthie’s chili recipe and it truly is the best. It looks like a long list of ingredients but it actually goes together pretty quickly aside from the time needed to simmer. It’s the combination of flavors such as dried basil, cinnamon and a Heinekin (Yes, a Heineken) that makes this chili unique.

Almond Cheesecake Squares
These cheesecake squares are so easy to make and great to serve at a brunch. The recipe has been around for years but I thought it was worth sharing. I’m always looking for easy recipes around the holidays.
This version is made with almonds and almond extract. There is another version made with vanilla and cinnamon which I have also listed below. Both equally good.
Make sure to make in advance as you have to refrigerate them for easy cutting.
Overnight Company French Toast
My sister found this recipe for Overnight Company French Toast many years ago and it has been a family favorite ever since. I have yet to serve this for company without someone asking for the recipe. It’s that good!
