“If Money Were No Object” Shoe Shopping
So, if money were no object and comfort wasn’t an issue, where would you go shoe shopping and what shoes would you purchase? I decided to spend a few
I remember watching Oprah’s 50th birthday party on TV exactly 10 years ago. When Oprah walked out on stage, her staff surprised her with extending her Oprah show to a two-hour special to celebrate her milestone birthday. Oprah’s response was We can’t be on the air for two hours! I only have one-hour shoes on! Lesson learned – – It doesn’t matter what the stilettos cost, 4 inches are 4 inches!
Money may not be able to buy “two-hour stilettos”, but it certainly can buy beautiful shoes. And, I am sure more comfortable than their distant less-expensive cousins.
So, if money were no object and comfort wasn’t an issue, where would you go shoe shopping and what shoes would you purchase? I decided to spend a few minutes on Barneys New York on-line boutique to see what I would buy.
Shopping at Barneys New York
Here’s what $10,000 of beautiful shoes looks like. I love neutral shoes that go with everything. My definition of neutral includes my beloved animal print as well as my favorite color orange.
This collection of shoes ranges from $495 to $995 per pair from designers Alexa Wagner, Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik, Robert Clergerie and Sergio Rossi.
Aren’t they beautiful? Don’t you think they should come with a free pedicure?
