Happy Leap Day. I consider it a bonus day, don’t you? I have a long list of things to do to make it a productive one.
I have some great links for you for this week’s Worthy Reads. If you are a Downton Abbey fan, you will love reading through the New York Times feature on the history of the show.
The End of Downton Abbey
This coming week is the final episode of Downton Abbey. I loved every show of the six seasons and will miss it. Are you a fan?
I have enjoyed watching the characters go from 1912 to 1925. Of course I loved seeing the gradual changes in fashion and hairstyles through the years but also the attitude and opinion of women was a major difference from the beginning of the show to the end. The servants were hungry for change too, to better themselves with education and to find work outside of the Abbey.
Take a look back at ‘Downton Abbey’ and History as featured in the New York Times.
Last night PBS featured a behind the scenes look at Downton Abbey with Alastair Bruce, “Downton Abbey”’s historical advisor.
If you are a fan, you will enjoy my previous post, The Women of Downton Abbey in Real Life.
Recipe of the Week
It’s the last day of February and there is still a chill in the air. French Onion Soup is the perfect comfort food to warm up. This recipe from Annie at The Garlic Diaries looks delicious.
Room of the Week
Head on over to Home Bunch to tour this stunning white kitchen. I love the Calcutta marble and subway tiles and the contrast of the dark floors. This gorgeous design is by interior designer Libby Palmieri, from The House of L.

In my post last week at 1010 Park Place, I shared photos of the Models from My Youth and what they look like today. To sum it up, they still look fabulous.
