We may have started our summer off with a lot of rain but August has blessed us with one gorgeous weekend after another. We grilled a couple of racks of lamb on Friday night and enjoyed dining outside with friends. I hope you had a fun weekend too.

How Never to Miss a Connecting Flight
I thought it was worthy to share this article from My Domain on How to Never Miss a Connecting Flight.
Style Icon Amal Clooney
Head on over to 1010 Park Place to read my post on Amal Clooney. I love her style and you will find photos of clothes that both you and I would wear.
Room of the Week
There is so much I love about this kitchen from O’Brien Harris. The commercial grade stainless stove, oven and hood. The oversized island. The gorgeous white marble. I love the large drawers in the island for storage. Another great detail is that the island has legs, making it feel like a piece of furniture instead of built-in cabinets.
Recipe of the Week
As the weather starts to get a little cooler, I am getting interested in cooking in the kitchen instead grilling outside. This Chicken Marsala from Saveur Magazine looks delicious. The key for tender chicken is pounding the cutlets before cooking. Deglazing the pan with Marsala and stock after cooking the chicken creates a quick, rich sauce.
18 Waterfront Houses From Films
Remember this adorable house boat from Sleepless in Seattle? What’s hard to believe is that the movie was filmed in 1993. That is 22 years ago! Town and Country Magazine collected photos of 18 Waterfront Homes from Films. They will tell you where the movie was filmed and where it was supposed to be in the movie.
Which was your favorite movie?
Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week.

Traveling is hard work! I bought a Tumi, hanging wardrobe bag on rollers only to discover it’s too wide–by three inches–to roll down the aisle of any airplane. When we’re checking bag measurements, that’s not one anyone thinks of. Unfortunately the Tumi rollers aren’t spinner wheels, so I can’t turn the bag sideways and roll it down the aisle. I must pick it up and carry it down the aisle. Tumi won’t return my money and doesn’t seem to think there’s an issue. Learned at least one valuable lesson: Must have spinner wheels. Grrrr…..
XOXOX,
Brenda
PS: Love the kitchen!
