It’s been years since my husband and I attended an Adult Halloween Party.  When we received the invitation from some dear friends, we wanted to go to the party but had no idea what to wear.   Although we initially weren’t very excited about getting dressed up, I knew that if we found a fun Halloween costume, it would be fun.

I scoured the internet for some Halloween costumes for couples.  It’s easier to come up with a theme than two separate costumes.  I saw a Fifty Shades of Grey Costume with paint chips on the wife’s sweater and the husband wore a gray suit.  That’s all I needed for my inspiration for this weekend’s costumes.

Fifty Shades of Grey Couples Costume

I loved this idea of a comical take on the book/movie Fifty Shades of Grey.

I’m all about comfort and casual so I decided that we would both wear gray tee shirts sporting a total of 50 shades of grey.

I purchased both tee shirts for under $10 each at Target.  Mine is v-neck so I attached the paint swatches around the v-shape for a decorative look.

For my husband’s tee shirt, I just attached his 25 shades on the front of his shirt.

That’s it!  Two costumes for under $20!
