Barbie Doll Cakes
One of my favorite memories from when I was a young girl were the beautiful Barbie Doll Cakes that my mom made for my birthday. They were stunning! My sister and I loved playing with our Barbie Dolls and it was so fitting for a birthday cake. It made me feel so special.
Today the internet is overflowing with cute ways to serve fun food for kids at a birthday party or special event for the young kids in your life. These are some of my favorite fun foods.
Fuzzy Slipper Cookies – No Baking Required!
These fuzzy slipper cookies would have been perfect at my stepdaughter’s 16th spa birthday party. We invited a half-dozen girls to the house and did facials, nails, etc.
These adorable cookies are made from Nutter Butter Cookies. The best part? No baking required! Click on the link below for a tutorial on how to assemble these cuties.
Now These are Girl Scout Cookies!
Nutter Butter Cookies also make adorable campers! At first glance of these camping cookies, I thought of young girls earning a Girl Scout Badge for camping. These would be adorable for a Girl Scout party and fun for the scouts to assemble them. Click on the link below for a full tutorial.
Gone Fishing Cupcakes
If you have kids that love to fish, these cupcakes are too clever and easy to pass up! Pretzel sticks for the fishing rod and gold fish crackers for the fish. Don’t you love them?
Sailboat Dessert Cups
Sticking to the water theme, I love these sailboat jello cups! The clementine adds such a nice pop of color for the boat! Visit the link below for complete instructions.
Cookie Monster Cupcakes
These Cookie Monster cupcakes have fun written all over them and are sure to be a hit at a birthday party. Again, an adorable presentation yet easy to assemble. Full directions can be found at the link below.
Knock Their Socks off After School Snacks
Serving fun food for kids as an after school snack doesn’t have to take a lot of effort. This octopus pepper swimming in humus is easy to assemble. It would be especially fun to serve when your kids have friends over to play. An added bonus is that you are sneaking in some vegetables in their diet.
These grapes make adorable caterpillars. Freeze the grapes in the summer for a cold treat on a hot day.
Your kids won’t be crabby with this adorable sandwich! Love the shrimp legs. So clever and fun.

Hi Beth. Love your site!
I didn’t include the link in my post to the crab sandwich because it was in Spanish. If you would like to check it out, here it is:
