OMG Jaw Dropping Makeovers
This is one post that pictures will speak louder than words. One of my favorite features of the Today Show’s Kathie Lee & Hoda hour is the Ambush Makeover segment on Thursdays. Makeover professionals Louis Licari and Jill Martin really have vision and know their stuff!
If you have never watched the show, they select two women out in the crowd on the Plaza and bring them in for a makeover including hair, makeup and clothing. The women and their friends and/or family do not get to see the results until they walk out on the show.
For starters, Nancy from Long Island is probably one of the most profound makeovers I have ever seen. Watch this video – – it is priceless as you see her son’s jaw drop and Nancy’s own reaction to her new look.
It is amazing how changing both hair style and color can make such a difference! I’m a girly girl and makeup is my friend, so I already know the miracles makeup can perform! The other amazing common denominator with these makeovers is that most of these women wear baggy clothes and are hiding their curves which Jill Martin does a great job of flattering.

I love more than anything seeing the lucky gal when she first see’s herself. They usually never get pampered or have time for themselves and the pride and look of joy is truly beautiful!
