All White Blooms or a Variety of Color in Your Garden
At this time of year I start to look at my garden like an artist looks at a plain white canvas. I can decide what color scheme my garden will take on for summer residence. Green shrubs, evergreens and grass are the neutral backdrop.
I can spend hours in a garden center, walking up and down the aisles, taking in the beautiful blooms. Okay, I’ll admit it. I. AM. A. FLOWER. ADDICT. My sister was the one that pointed out my addiction. Even after my garden is planted, I’ll stop at a nursery if I am driving by one. I always think I can use one more flower in my yard!
Hostas Provide a Neutral Canvas
My garden is heavily landscaped with hostas. I’m guessing I have at least a dozen different varieties with each variation offering different shades of green. They create a great backdrop for the annuals that add a pop of color to the yard.
Color vs. White
I am so intrigued by an all white floral garden which would be new to me. There is something so serene and peaceful about the clean green and white landscape.
My favorite floral color combinations are the multi colored impatiens. They had such a huge pop of color to a shaded area and I love the purples, pinks and oranges grouped together.
The Green and White Garden
As spring approaches I will continue to explore several garden color schemes in future posts. Today’s focus is white. Following are a collection of white and green garden themes that I think are beautiful and serene. I love the simplicity. Let me know what you think. Do you like the all white and green look or would you prefer a variety of color?
