September is here, football has started and the intense heat of the summer is waning. Life is good!
Welcome to this Week’s Worthy Reads. Enjoy my selection of five great links.
Recipe of the Week
The weather has barely cooled and I am already making soups! They are a staple on my menu for fall and winter cooking. I made a great one Saturday morning that was ready to eat when we returned from the football game that night. It was the perfect dinner since we came back drenched from the rainstorm.
I was glad to stumble on this recipe for Overnight Chicken Stock in the Crockpot from Linda at 100 Days of Real Food. It’s so easy to do and will taste so much better than store bought stock.
Room of the Week
I’m in love with this two-toned kitchen found at Home Bunch. The shade of gray on the cabinets is a nice contrast to the soft white cabinets. Looking for interior design inspiration? Home Bunch has great photos.
Great Tips on How to Pose in Pictures
Yes, I know you know about putting your hand on your hip for a slimmer appearance in photos. But do you know the tricks for avoiding red-eye, double chin and avoiding blinking. Read my post at 1010 Park Place for some of the best photo tips I could find.
What to Do About Puffy Eyes
Do you suffer from Puffy Eyes in the morning like I do? My worst culprit is eating out. Restaurant food is full of salt! Head on over to Goop to learn some tricks of the trade for decreasing those Puffy Eyes.
9 Things We Learned About Ronald and Nancy from the Reagan Family Auction
If you are like me and a fan of Ronald and Nancy Reagan, then you will enjoy this piece by Caroline Hallemann at Town & Country. This month approximately 800 of their personal effects will be going up for auction at Christie’s. The proceeds will benefit the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute.
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by.
