When someone asks us where we like to eat in town, we always say one of our friend’s houses. Yes, our lovely city has a lot of fabulous restaurants, but they can’t beat the great dinners our friends prepare.
We kicked off our weekend with one of those great dinners at our friend Jonathan’s and enjoyed a cocktail called a French 75. The original drink is made with gin but these were made with vodka. It was one part simple syrup, one part fresh squeezed lemon juice, two parts Vodka and a splash of Prosecco. It was so refreshing on a hot summer night.
Here’s a link to the original recipe for a French 75 on Bon Appétit. You will want to give either version a try before summer is over!
Enjoy this week’s selection of Worthy Reads, starting off with this twist on zucchini bread.

Too Much Texting can Hurt Your Spine and Thumb
The Washington Post recently wrote about “Text Neck”. ‘Text neck’ is becoming an ‘epidemic’ and could wreck your spine. Excessive mobile phone use can also wreak havoc on your thumb. Technology comes with a price!
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by.
