A special welcome to my new Readers from Quintessential Style where OMG Lifestyle was recently featured. Next week, Sharon White will be interviewing me on her blog. For those not familiar with Sharon, she is also the co-author of the award-winning book QUINTESSENTIAL STYLE. This book is full of great advice to help you create a signature look.

I hope you had a nice Father’s Day. It was heartwarming to be on Facebook yesterday to see all the photos of fathers, both living and gone. The fathers in Cleveland had an especially nice day with the Cleveland Cavaliers winning the National Basketball Championship. It was such an exciting game. Did you watch it?
On to this week’s Worthy Reads where I share five great links from around the web. Enjoy.
50 Outdoor Party Ideas for Summer Entertaining

With Summer Solstice being tomorrow, I thought it was appropriate to share this link from HomeDIT, 50 Outdoor Party Ideas You Should Try Out This Summer. If you are like me, you will enjoy looking at these pretty tablescapes for inspiration for your next party.
Room of the Week

I love everything about this galley kitchen found at one of my favorite sites, Home Bunch. The glass French doors and large picture window over the sink allow so much natural light into the space. Galley kitchens are functional and offer plenty of counter space.
Recipe of the Week

I found this recipe for Chicken in White Wine Sauce from Ciao Florentina and it looks delicious. As much as I love to grill during the summer, I only grill weather permitting. This recipe is my next rainy day supper. It is an easy yet flavorful dish that won’t take long to put on the table for a week night dinner.
1010 Park Place
Last week I shared 8 Inviting Guest Rooms at 1010 Park Place. I love twin beds for a guest room. You will too once you see the great rooms.
17 Top Ornamental Grasses

Better Homes & Gardens shared their 17 Top Ornamental Grasses. They are great for filler in the landscape and easy to grow.

9 Ways to Make Your Life Better with the Danish Concept of Hygge

I came across this article 9 Ways to Make Your Life Better with the Danish Concept of Hygge in Town & Country Magazine. Frankly, I had never heard of the word Hygge. Have you?
“Pronounced “hoo-ga,” this Danish concept cannot be translated to one single word but encompasses a feeling of cozy contentment and well-being through enjoying the simple things in life.”
So what’s the big deal about Hygge and why am I sharing it? Well, I found it interesting that “this national obsession with all things cozy is credited as one of the reasons why Denmark is always at the top of the list of the world’s happiest countries, despite their infamously miserable winters.”
I love the positive spin hygge puts on their life. It’s something we should all work at.
2 Ingredient All Natural Homemade Face Masks
This chart of 2 ingredients all natural homemade face masks had me at “2 ingredients”. That’s doable! The mask and other great tips can be found at Indian Spot.

I am so thankful that the ice storm that was predicted to hit Columbus never came. We had a busy weekend with two nights of having guests for dinner. Friday night I made my tried and true Rack of Lamb. It’s so easy to prepare and a great entrée for a work night. Last night I tried a couple of new recipes that I will soon share on the blog.
