Hello June! The month of May flew by and I hope it is not an indication of summer following suit. We just returned from a wonderful five days in Las Vegas visiting my father. One of our highlights was seeing Carlos Santana in concert at the House of Blues in Mandalay Bay. We loved the intimate setting as there wasn’t a bad seat in the house. For those of you that are Santana fans, this is the place to see him!
Enjoy some of my favorite links from around the web for this week’s Worthy Reads.
Room of the Week
This white on white bedroom found on My Design Chic (originally from SFC&G) screams summer from the crisp linens to the white cathedral ceiling. I love the contrast of all the white against the green outdoors.
80 Vintage Bathing Suits
I enjoyed flipping through these 80 photos of Vintage Babes in Bathing Suits from Elle Magazine. I was surprised at some of them as they were more revealing than I had pictured for that era.
Recipe of the Week
One of my favorite desserts to make for summer are fruit crisps and this Blueberry Crisp from Gimme Some Oven is one of them. Several of my friends are on gluten-free diets and this crisp would be an ideal dessert to serve them. It’s made with almond meal instead of flour.
Gardening and Landscape Care in the Month of June
I’m so far behind in getting my flowers planted this year with our back to back trips. This is my week to head to the local nursery to select my flowers and start planting. I found a great list of Gardening and Landscape Care for the Month of June from the Garden Helper. Visit Sheri Silver’s great post Off with Their Heads about pruning.
The World’s Most Beautiful Hotel Pools
Pop Sugar has a collection of pictures of The World’s Most Beautiful Hotel Pools. I enjoy traveling around the world via the internet. Which pool would you most like to take a swim?
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by.

I thought it sounded good too Sherry. I haven’t cooked with almond meal before but sounds like a great substitute.

Thanks Sheri. Loved the title of your post – Off with their heads! It will be my mantra when I have to prune back my flowers. It’s always hard when they are beautiful blooms but often necessary! It’s nice to connect and look forward to following your blog as well!
