I have found five new recipes for leftover turkey for you to try. There is nothing better than leftover turkey for one day, two max. After that I am sick of it. Do you feel the same?
We have all had the usual recipes including turkey soup, turkey Tetrazzini and other typical leftovers after the holidays. I love all of those but also love to try new things.
I enjoy entertaining over the Thanksgiving weekend. Often times you can see friends or family that are in town visiting. Invite them over for a casual evening. Any of these recipes paired with a salad or soup would make a great casual dinner.
There’s football to watch on Saturday and Sunday. These recipes would make a nice change to your half-time menu.
Recipes for Leftover Turkey
Rustic Cranberry Tart
Via Cook’s Illustrated and Food.Com
Cook’s Illustrated develops fabulous recipes. I have enjoyed their show and have many of their cookbooks and magazines. (I love how they thoroughly explain the recipe).
Although I have not tried this recipe yet, it looks delicious! A delicious tart with ingredients such as blue cheese, pears, cranberries, pecans and more, mixed in with your leftover turkey. Pair this with a salad, a bottle of wine and you have a gourmet leftover dinner. Oh my!
Turkey Cranberry Strudel with Maple Roasted Butternut Squash
This recipe had me at strudel! Who doesn’t like a flaky buttery puff pastry crust? And the presentation is beautiful! This recipe for leftover turkey takes leftovers to a new level!
Apple Cranberry Turkey Salad
I am a fan all year-long of chicken salad with grapes, almonds, celery and mayo, so I know I will like this recipe. This salad is served on Kings Hawaiian Rolls which are sweet. Love a combination of sweet and savory. Jocelyn combines both mayo and Greek yogurt in this recipe which I have done before. It’s a bit healthier but by still using mayo, you get that rich flavor.
Black Bean and Turkey Enchiladas
This recipe has no hint of being a leftover Thanksgiving recipe. These black bean turkey enchiladas will give you and your family a nice break from stuffing, cranberries and other typical Thanksgiving food.
Turkey Cranberry Brie Grilled Cheese
Grilled cheese. Brie. Turkey & Cranberry. Need I say more? I’d like to try this in my Cuisinart Griddler which makes great paninis and grilled cheese.
Happy Thanksgiving! I am thankful for my readers!
Safe travels to you and yours.
May your blessings be many.
