Home Office Inspirations

All of my recent posts have been about decorating and remodeling as I am in the midst of updating my home.  Today our new carpet is being installed and our home is upside down!  What a project it has been to take everything downstairs except the furniture itself.  All accessories, lamps, bedding, etc.

One of the rooms I am most excited about is our home office/den.  We went with a new paint color and I am anxious to put the room back together once this carpet is in.

Home Offices that Make You Want to Work

Today’s post is about beautiful home offices.   Offices that offer inspiration and creativity.  Ones that make you want to go to work!  With my home being upside down, it brings me great pleasure to peruse rooms that are nice and organized!

Dining Room Table for Home Office Desk

I was immediately drawn to this home office featured in House Beautiful for two reasons.  First, I noticed the desk is most likely a dining room table.  I used a similar desk for my husband’s office at work.  By using a dining room table, you get a large workspace.  More desk top real estate than you would have in a regular sized desk.

I also was attracted to this picture because the lamp on the desk is the lamp I currently have in my bedroom.  I love the floating shade and the curved shape of the base.

Floor to Ceiling Windows

This office had me with the view but I also love the lucite chairs.  If there was one material I would like to add to my decorating this year, it would be lucite!  It’s fresh, modern and a little edgy.  I did a post back in March on lucite coffee tables.  Read more at Clearly Glamorous Coffee Tables.

Aerin Lauder Designed Home Office

Aerin Lauder, granddaughter of make up mogul Estee Lauder, has become well-known in her own right for her style and design.  She has her own fashion and furniture line named Aerin.  She not only has great style but she is beautiful as well.  I love the elegance of the office she designed with gold accents.

Striking Black Walls

I just went from dark walls to lighter walls in my home office as I am working from home now and wanted our office to be brighter.  With that being said, I am still attracted to the striking black walls in this picture.  I love that gold accents are back in vogue.  I have always preferred gold to silver.  These gold etagere cases are a nice contrast to the black.  Don’t you love the lucite desk?

Tory Burch’s Beautiful Home Office

Tory Burch’s office has one of my favorite accent colors, peacock-blue!  It’s the perfect shade and brightens her office.  I love her inspiration board between the bookcases.

Black & White Home Office

These black bookcases are stunning with the white crown moulding.  Love the white desk and gray chair.  Simply stunning!

Neutral Greige Home Office

This neutral office is the perfect color for a narrow room turned into an office.  I call the color greige … the perfect mix of gray and beige.  The cabinets offer great storage to keep the mess at bay.
