I’m back to blogging as I help care for my mother while she recuperates from her broken ankle (damn ice!). She’s in a nursing home which I find depressing. The color choices for the furniture and decor always seem to be dark and dingy, so after just a few days of visiting I decided I needed to blog about a glamorous piece of furniture.
I just love lucite coffee tables. They are edgy yet glamorous. They are almost invisible yet scream style. My decorating personality is eclectic so I love layering a room with a variety of textures and materials. Lucite adds another layer . . . shiny, clear and elegant.

Instead of one large table, I love the look of the side by side tables shown here which show off the textured neutral carpet.

I love all the color and patterns going on in this room against the creamy white backdrop. The lucite coffee tables appear to be floating in the room.
This neutral table allows the striking black & white rug to be the star of the room.
A more formal sofa and contemporary rug make a beautiful background for this lucite table.
The boxed look of these two tables are contemporary and edgy. Don’t you love them against the tufted sofas?
