I am in love with my hair spray. So much so that I have been forced to check my bags at the airport because my hairspray isn’t available in a travel size! It would be cheaper to order my hairspray on Amazon and have it shipped to my destination than to pay for my luggage to be checked.
The good thing though is that these hair products have actually saved me time! They don’t leave any residue that you often get with other hair products. By not having the build up in my hair, I actually can go three days without shampooing. I have never been able to do that in years past. I used to wash and style my hair daily and that takes time.
Sahag Hair Products
Several years ago I discovered Sahag hair products. Four fabulous products to be exact. Some salons carry this brand but I buy mine on-line. I’ll have links at the bottom of this post if you are interested.
The Air Lift spray is a volumizing spray that I spray at the roots. I like fullness and height with my hair style. My hair is not only short, but my 5’2″ frame needs all the height it can get.
My hair tends to be wavy with some curl. What goes with waves and curls? FRIZZ! Hence, my love affair with Sahag’s No Frizz Spray Gel. It works!
The Sahag hairspray holds my style for days without being stiff or sticky. This is by far my favorite of the four Sahag products. It would be difficult to replace.
Most of you are probably familiar with the popular Moroccan Oil. I have tried it but it was too heavy for me. I felt it weighed my hair down.
I use Sahag’s Revitalizing Drops which is much lighter. I use it in two ways. I first put two drops in my palm and rub it into my wet hair (avoiding the scalp area). It protects my hair from the heat of the blow dryer. After I have completely styled my hair, I will put one drop in the palm of my hand and then lightly rub the oil on my hair to give it some shine. A little goes a long way. I even do this on days that I am not shampooing, especially in the winter when my hair is more dry.
My Favorite Hair Tools
One of my favorite tools for achieving height and fullness in my hair is my round brush. The aluminum barrel holds the heat which helps in styling the hair. To set the style after applying heat, I press the cool button on the blow dryer for a few seconds before removing the hair from the brush. That is one of the most important steps! If you haven’t done that, try it! The cool setting helps you achieve the look of a salon blowout.
This next item is new to my hair styling routine. It’s The Perfecter Fusion 1″ Styler. I saw it at Costco last week and thought it was worth trying for $39. When I purchased it, I had no idea that other retailers were selling it for $99. Thank you Costco for the $60 savings. This styler comes with a carrying case, brush and clips.
I wish I had this tool when I had my broken arm this past spring. It would have helped me get through those bad hair days. It’s so easy to use and I love how this helps me achieve the fullness and lift that I like.
I have attached a You Tube video by Maria McCool who invented this great product.
Since I have highlights in my hair, I like to use sulfate free products which helps keep the color longer. We like to buy our shampoo and conditioner at Costco but I never liked the size of the containers which are heavy and awkward to use.
We found a great solution. We installed a trio soap dispenser that adheres to our shower wall. We fill two of the bins with the shampoo and conditioner and liquid soap in the third bin. Problem solved and it leaves our shower less cluttered which is an added bonus.
These opinions are mine and based on my hair type and style (short, thick and wavy). What are your favorite hair products?
If you are interested in any of the products mentioned in this post, I have shared links below for your convenience.
Here is the link on Amazon for the curling iron brush. Just remember it costs much less at Costco.

Thanks for sharing! I have heard raves about Sahag products through the years but have never tried them myself. I will definitely need to try them now!
