Ethnic Potluck Dinner Party

Invite your guests to bring a dish from their heritage!

As you probably know by now, I love to entertain.  I especially enjoy an out of the ordinary get together.

My sister Carolyn started an annual Ethnic Potluck Dinner Party tradition a few years ago and I was lucky enough to be visiting her in Cleveland one year to attend this great party.  Her invitation requests that her guests bring a food of their choice from their nationality.

It is such a fun way to try different foods from countries around the world.  She had German, Irish, Lebanese, Italian, Polish, and many other countries represented at her buffet.

 

Get creative with your invitation wether it be via email, e-vite or my favorite, a paper invitation sent in the mail.  Invite your friends, neighbors and coworkers over to try a variety of foods from around the globe.

Your party can either be based around appetizers, a meal or even just desserts!  Potlucks are an easy way to entertain as you don’t have to prepare all the food; however, as a host you will have several other duties such as providing the beverages and glassware, plates, utensils, napkins, etc.

Depending on how many people you are inviting, you may want to delegate the type of food they bring such as appetizer, salad, main dish or dessert so that your meal is well balanced.

We think our ethnic potluck will be a huge hit that you will want to make this an annual event!
