National Do Not Call Registry

Rarely do I use my blog as a platform to complain but today will be an exception.  I work from home and get so irritated with telemarketers and computer generated phone calls, especially since I am on the Do Not Call List.  It’s truly the opposite of my blog theme … OMG of a different nature!

STOP Telemarketing Calls

This week I decided to take action.  I went to the National Do Not Call Registry website to their “Submit a Complaint” page.  It’s a simple three-part form to fill out.

do not call complaint formYou can use your Caller ID to find the telemarketer’s phone number.  (Yes, unfortunately sometimes their number doesn’t appear,  but I have found more often than not that there is a phone number).

It is disappointing that political calls are exempt from the Do Not Call Registry.  However, this isn’t a surprise since the politicians make the rules!  Prior to an election, my phone rings off the hook!

I am going to submit a complaint for every telemarketer call I get in the next month and see if it makes a difference.  Will you join me?
