I first shared my obsession of decorating with branches in my post Decorating with Spring Blooms. There is just something about bringing branches from outside indoors. It brings life to a room. It’s something you see in decorating magazines all the time yet it’s so easy to do as long as you have a yard with trees.
When I don’t have fresh flowers on my kitchen counter, I often head out into my backyard and cut a branch or two to bring indoors. I love the look and it doesn’t cost me a penny!
If I am entertaining, I will often cut branches for my dining room or powder room in lieu of having fresh flowers.
