Stylish White Jeans for Spring
If you are anything like me, you wear a lot of black in the winter. It’s just always been a part of my winter wardrobe. Black and gray. Black and Beige. Black and animal print. Well, it’s time to pull out white jeans for spring. Gone are the old rules of wearing white between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
The Best Carrot Cake Ever
There is carrot cake and then there is Irene’s Carrot Cake. If you haven’t had Irene’s, you are missing out. My mom’s carrot cake is over-the-top delicious. It’s the most requested birthday cake for almost every member of our family.
OMG Worthy Reads, Week 78
I hope you had a nice holiday weekend. This week’s Worthy Reads starts off with inspiration on how to use up your leftover ham including one of my favorite sandwiches. I also share links to the top new Perennials for 2016, a three-minute arm workout to get your arms ready for warmer weather and a pretty kitchen with a functional island. For your spring entertaining, I have a great link to luscious lemon desserts.
Enjoy and have a great week.
Adorable Easter Centerpiece
In less than ten minutes I pulled these materials together to create an adorable Easter centerpiece. Head on over to the blog to see it. Honestly, it’s just too cute for words.
Delicious Ham and Potato Bake
This Ham and Potato Bake is not only delicious but will also look beautiful at your brunch, served on a cake stand, garnished with chives for color.
I’m excited to reveal my new recipe format on the blog. You can now easily print each recipe. I’ll be revising previous posts over the next month so that you will be able to print those as well when needed.
OMG Worthy Reads, Week 77
Happy Spring! I have some great Worthy Reads from around the web this week. Enjoy a delicious shrimp recipe as well as a guide to buying shrimp. I share a collection of street fashion from as far back as 1916, travel tips for vacationing in Europe, and a beautiful room from one of my favorite design sites. Enjoy!
Quiche Recipes with 6 Unique Crusts
I’m always interested in trying new recipes. Recently, I became intrigued when I came across some quiche recipes with unique crusts. The cooking world is getting so creative to work around food allergies such as gluten or to make a recipe healthier. But chefs and recipe creators are doing what they do best: Creating great food.
Five of these six quiche recipes do not have your typical crust. They are made from healthier ingredients such as quinoa, potatoes, sweet potatoes, spaghetti squash and a polenta and squash combination. The sixth recipe is a more traditional crust with a twist.
