Chic Appetizer Presentation
We recently invited friends over for a glass of wine before heading to the restaurant for our dinner reservations. It’s a great way to catch up in the quiet of your home without the hassle of cooking the dinner!
I have discovered that it only takes a few extra steps to turn a simple appetizer into a stunning presentation. I like to add layers and use a mixture of materials such as a metal tray, pottery and glass bowls for interest. All a nice contrast against the granite counter.
By simply serving your appetizer on a tray lined with a colorful napkin and adding a grouping of candles, the presentation goes from boring to elegant.
When you need a last-minute appetizer, there is nothing easier than serving cream cheese and pepper jelly with crackers! I like to use whipped cream cheese because it spreads easier than a brick of cream cheese. Spread it in your serving bowl and top with the pepper jelly (Trader Joe’s has a delicious pepper jelly). Add some nuts for additional snacking. These are ingredients you can keep on hand for last-minute entertaining.
My go to base for layering is one of the trays from tabletop trends. I am partners with my friend Karen in this online boutique where we sell unique tableware . . . stylish serveware that you won’t see in the big box stores. Enjoy 20% off any purchase by using Coupon Code OMG20.
What is your favorite last-minute appetizer?
