January is half over and in the great state of Ohio, we hope to be celebrating tonight.   Our beloved college team, The Ohio State University, plays the Oregon Ducks in the National Championship Game.

With the College Championship Game tonight and the Super Bowl just around the corner, I thought A Girl’s Guide to Football from Lydi Outloud was a worthy read this week.   You will enjoy watching football so much more if you understand it and Lydi does a great job of explaining the game.

Five Best Winter Fruits

I love the colors of this caramelized blood orange tart.  Food & Wine posted a great article on 15 Ways to Eat the 5 Best Winter Fruits.   I enjoy four of the five fruits on a regular basis.  The one I have not tried is a persimmon; however, it’s on my list of new things to try.  F&W has given me three great suggestions on how to try this new-to-me fruit.

10 Best Dressed at Golden Globes via USA Today

Click on this link from USA Today to see their selection of the 10 Best Dressed at the Golden Globes.  I was shocked to see Keira Knightley in the top ten.   I did not like her dress.  It was so frumpy and far from elegant.

On the other hand, I thought Emma Stone took pants to a new level in her attractive silver and black ensemble.  I still prefer gowns but if you want to wear pants, this is an attractive choice.

Celebrity Homes

This week’s celebrity home tour is Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick’s Greenwich Village Townhouse as shown in Elle Decor.  It’s hard to fathom the numbers.  They first listed the home for $25 Million and have reduced the price to $19.95 Million.
