The holidays are the perfect time to pull out your china and crystal stemware.  A pretty table is so festive and inviting.  And nothing dresses up a holiday table more than shining crystal stemware!

Crystal requires a bit of extra care though as it’s delicate and should not be put in the dishwasher. However,  I have two products that I use that make hand washing my crystal easy.

Microfiber Dish Drying Mat for Crystal Stemware

I used to hand wash my crystal and then put them in my dish drainer.  Unfortunately, they easily chipped this way.  Once I realized this caused some of my glassware to chip, I switched and placed my freshly washed glasses on a dish towel on my counter but it would get soaked so quickly.

My sister gave me a microfiber dish drying mat and I have been using it ever since.  It’s ideal for crystal stemware.  The mat is padded to provide a cushion for the delicate glassware.  It’s also much more absorbent than using kitchen towels.

Lint Free Towels for Drying Glassware

Have you ever dried glassware and the towel just wasn’t absorbent, leaving the glass streaky and with traces of lint?  That won’t happen with flour sack towels.  They are made of 100% cotton and are very absorbent.  They are also perfect for drying glassware because they are lint free.  They are a must for me for drying my crystal stemware.
