Every home should have a mudroom or at least an entryway large enough for a bench!  It’s nice to have a place to sit, especially during boot season!  I especially like the idea of having an organized area for coats, purses, keys, etc.

Mudroom Inspiration

If you are building a new home or remodeling an existing one, this collection of photos will give you some great ideas for mudrooms and entryways.

For larger laundry rooms near entryways, combining a mudroom with it is ideal.

Mudrooms don’t have to be rooms!  This homeowner creatively turned their hallway entry into a mudroom.

For those that don’t like to see any exposed clutter, these built-in cabinets are the answer.  The bench is dual purpose for seating and storage.

Use Furniture for Mudroom

Think beyond built-ins for your mudroom.  Furniture can add a decorative touch.

Entryway Inspiration

If you don’t have room for a mudroom, you can still create an entryway to collect your things.  This oversized mirror makes a statement.  The decorative boot tray and umbrella stand are worthy of a more formal entryway such as this one.

When the entryway is a hallway, a simple rack and bench can create a functional entrance.

Converted Coat Closet

By removing the coat closet door and completely opening up the closet, this homeowner made a mudroom style entryway.

An alternative to hooks on the back wall is to add them under the shelf.

I’m all for squeezing in extra storage wherever possible such as they did with this bench.

I like the hidden storage behind these doors with hooks.

I’ve shared this before but felt it was appropriate to include in this post.  I love the idea of a built-in dog crate instead of it being in an open room taking up valuable floor space.

Mudroom Accessories

A boot tray is a must with cold weather approaching. An umbrella stand can be both functional and decorative and coat racks are a great alternative to hooks on the wall.  Following are some accessories found on Amazon.
