Put That Old iPhone to Use
STOP! Don’t throw out that old iPhone. There are so many ways you can still use it after you have upgraded to a newer phone.
I especially like using the older phone in my car as an iPod as it doesn’t tie up my current phone or drain the battery.
First and foremost, you must turn cellular data off so as not to incur any charges on your plan.
1. Car Entertainment System
Hook it up to your USB port in your car and you can listen to music, podcasts and audio books.
2. Exercising Companion
You can also use it while exercising with headphones and an armband to hold the device. You can still sync the old phone to your iTunes account to keep your music and podcasts current.
3. Game Center for your Kids
Let your children use it to play games on it. As long as you have wi-fi, you will have a free internet connection.
4. Skype & Face Time
Buy a stand for your desk and use it strictly for Skype or Facetime. You won’t need to tie up your phone.
5. Use it as a camera.
You will have much more memory on the device since you are not using it for a phone and if you like to take a lot of videos, you won’t be draining your battery on your new phone.
6. Use it as an alarm clock.
7. Donate for Emergency Use
If you don’t have a use for the phone, donate it to a shelter or give to someone that doesn’t have a mobile phone. Emergency 911 calls can be made, even without a cellular connection.
What other uses do you have for an old iPhone.
