Open Table App
The Open Table app has probably been one of my most useful apps when it comes to eating out! It has come in handy in my hometown of Columbus as well as when visiting other cities.
If you don’t have access to a mobile device, you can also access Open Table on the web which is how I first started using the service.
Create an account and then you won’t have to input your contact information each time you use the app. It really simplifies making your dinner reservations.
For years I used to meet my friend Jean for lunch at one of two restaurants every Tuesday. It was always a snap to click on my app and make our reservation. When we dined at the Fish Market, we always liked having a booth and it was a simple request through the comments section.
The app is especially helpful when you want to make last minute reservations! If you ever find yourself in need of getting into a restaurant on the spur of the moment, you can search the app to see what restaurants have immediate openings. It certainly beats calling restaurants one by one to see who has openings that evening.
We often use the app when we decide we want to go out to dinner after an Ohio State Football Game. Restaurants are usually packed and sometimes we are able to beat the rush by finding an opening and reserving the table before we get there!
You can view full menus and even sort by price range, type of cuisine, by location and even restaurants that are ideal for outdoor dining!
Other options include viewing pictures of their specialties.
Other great options are being able to directly add the reservation to your calendar and if dining with others, you can send them the information directly from the site.
Open Table is a free app and one that you will find very useful.
