Happy February dear Readers. It’s Leap Year so that means we have an extra day this month. Those with birthdays on February 29th get to celebrate on their actual birthday.
Speaking of birthdays, I am kicking off this week’s Worthy Reads with the 50th birthday of a wonderful publication.
Happy 50th Southern Living
One of my favorite magazines just turned 50! You don’t have to live in the South (I’m from Ohio) to enjoy Southern Living! Click on the link to see how they celebrated their big birthday in style.
The second set of slides is 50 Years of Southern Recipes where they share their dog-eared, grease-splattered, much-loved favorites.
Brownie Hearts and Brownie Bites
In my previous post Valentine’s Day Menu Suggestions, one of the desserts I shared were these beautiful heart-shaped chocolate cakes. When you use a cookie cutter to create the hearts, you end up with leftover pieces of cake. Now I have something you can make with that leftover cake.
This week I saw that Martha Stewart made heart-shaped Brownies. She made truffle like Brownie Bites with the left over brownie. So clever!
Room of the Week
This house found at RSA Associates is gorgeous inside and out. I love the Spanish architecture. Click on the link and take a tour. I am especially in love with the exterior of this gorgeous home. (Thanks to Kate from Centsational Girl which is where I discovered this beauty.)
Recipe of the Week
This video of a 3 Ingredient Soufflé Cheesecake has gone viral on the internet. It looks so easy and delicious.
Food videos are becoming wildly popular. Viewers love them because they show in simple steps how easy it is to make the recipe.
1010 Park Place
In my post at 1010 Park Place last week, I shared the hot colors for resort wear and spring fashion. This year the colors are beautiful and found in a variety of shades and hues. I especially love the brighter colors as they look best on me. How about you?
Thanks for stopping by for this week’s Worthy Reads.
