In Columbus it is hot and humid but that isn’t stopping football season. Tonight is our Ohio State opener against Virginia Tech. It’s a late game so I have all day to get ready for the week ahead. One of my priorities is to cook some healthy meals after partying all weekend. My Recipe of the Week will kick off this week’s Worthy Reads. Enjoy this round of links from around the web.
Recipe of the Week
After a long holiday weekend of splurging with friends and relatives, this Spinach and Mushroom Quinoa from Julia’s Album looks healthy and delicious.
10 Best New Lipsticks for Fall
Harper’s Bazaar shares the latest in lip color for all. I especially like Nars Brick Red.
Room of the Week
I would never complain again about having to do the dishes if I had this view! You can tour more of this gorgeous kitchen at House of Turquoise. The house was designed by Jacob Talbot Fine Homebuilders.
1010 Park Place
My recent post at 1010 Park Place is all about Inviting Cheese Platters. There are seven beautifully displayed cheese boards. You may also want to visit my post, Invite Friends for Wine and Cheese Before Dinner Reservations to give yourself a reason to duplicate one of these gorgeous platters.
Why are my plants turning yellow?
We all have been there. A once healthy plant starts turning yellow. This infographic found on The Thrifty Couple will help solve the mystery. If you have a Pinterest account, it’s a great place to save this for future reference.
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by.

Are you sure we’re not twins, separated at birth? Everything you post is either my style–except for the red lipstick–or the food I love. I will be trying the mushroom, spinach quinoa this week. You’ll like this: I still have the same ivy, in the same pot, I bought for my first house after I graduated from college. Over the years I’ve taken cuttings and started lots of new plants, and I keep adding dirt to the same green, plastic pot. It’s better cared for than some children I know.
Thank you!
Brenda
