We attended our cousins beautiful wedding over the weekend. One of the things I loved was to see the younger generation continue the traditions of our heritage. My favorite part of the reception is the grand entrance of the bride and groom with all of the guests surrounding them with love and celebration. The music and dancing around the couple fills me with pride and joy. Congratulations Lauren and Sean!

1010 Park Place | Cooking in Parchment
My post at 1010 Park Place, Cooking in Parchment (or as the French say, Cooking En Papillote) is an easy, no fuss way to cook. The packet locks in flavor and moisture and creates a wonderful presentation. An added bonus is that it makes clean up easy! Have you tried this technique?
Boomtowns: The Most Populous City in Each State
USA Today recently had shared a slide show of The Most Populous City in Each State. My home city, Columbus has a population of 787,033. Columbus is not only the largest city in Ohio, but also the 15th largest in the United States. What is the largest city in your home state?
Recipe of the Week – Classic Maryland Crab Cakes
Fortunately you can purchase crab meat in pasteurized cans in the seafood section of your local grocer (or as I do, at Costco) to make these Classic Maryland Crab Cakes all year long. This recipe is from one of my favorite cooking magazines, Fine Cooking. Be sure to plan ahead as you have to refrigerate the crab mixture for 1 to 3 hours before cooking.
Sephora Pocket Contouring App
The blog Lydi Out Loud introduced me to the Sephora Pocket Contouring App. Highlighting and contouring is a huge trend but can be intimidating. Check out Lydia’s explanation of how this neat app works.
Room of the Week
I love how bright and cheery this home office is from House & Home. The oversized desk offers great work space and I like the fabrics used on the chair and bench, the gold mirror and chandelier. Well done in my opinion.
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by.
