My favorite part about August is that its prime time to visit the farmers market. My husband and I went on Saturday morning and came back with fabulous tomatoes, cucumbers, corn, squash and peppers. You would never know there were just two people in our house!
I will kick off this week’s Worthy Reads with some gorgeous stacked salads. Usually dessert is the showpiece for a dinner party but these beautiful salads will be hard to beat!
1010 Park Place
My feature at 1010 Park Place last week was Stack ‘Em High Salads. I shared six recipes for beautiful layered salads that will wow your guests. The photography alone is worth looking at.
Room of the Week
I absolutely love this contemporary New South Wales dining room found on My Domaine. The neutral setting gives you great flexibility in choosing a color scheme when setting the table. Everyone seated at the table has a great view of the outdoors. Love love love!
The 75 Best Dressed Men of All Time
Esquire Magazine had me at Steve McQueen. Enjoy looking through their collection of photos of The 75 Best Dressed Men of All Time.
Recipe of the Week
Having just been to the farmers market this weekend, cucumbers are plentiful and oh so delicious when fresh. This Cucumber and Pickled Feta Salad with Dill from Isadora at She Likes Food looks refreshing. Did you notice the title? It’s pickled feta, not pickled cucumbers! Sounds interesting, doesn’t it?
25 Best and Worst Snacks at Trader Joe’s
I was intrigued by this article from The Daily Meal of the 25 Best and Worst Snacks at Trader Joe’s as I am a Trader Joe’s fan. There was nothing on the list that I buy (I try not to buy too many processed foods) but I have added their Salted Caramel Gelato on my list for the next trip. It had a 9.5 out of 10 rating.
What is your favorite food from Trader Joe’s? Please share below.
Thank you for visiting. Have a great week.
