Our arctic weather has left and warmer temperatures have melted the snow in Columbus this weekend. It was a relaxing couple of days and I enjoyed searching for some Worthy Reads for you.
I love great animal photography so my first Worthy Read is from USA Today on Animal Migrations. I have been trying to capture some great pictures of the wildlife in my backyard. We have a family of foxes that I see daily but have yet to take a great picture. OMG, they are quick! I did, however, capture a decent picture of a visiting pileated woodpecker. They are large birds, standing approximately 17″ tall. It’s their size that takes me by surprise when I see them fly by my window.
The 10 Best Amazing Animal Migrations
Enough on my backyard wildlife. If you like animals and spectacular photography, than you will enjoy the Ten Best Amazing Animal Migrations in USA Today by Lydia Schrandt. The migration journey of these animals is a wildlife photographer’s dream. My husband has enjoyed watching the salmon migration for many years during his fishing trips to Alaska. Which photograph is your favorite?

Recipe of the Week: Honey Lime Tequila Shrimp Tacos
I came across these Honey Lime Tequila Shrimp Tacos on the Canadian blog Tartine and Apron Strings. I like fish tacos so I thought I would give these shrimp ones a try this week. I love the kick lime juice adds to a dish such as this. By the way, great food photography Jen!
Worthy Reads Celebrity Home Tour
I like Taylor Swift — not just her music but also who she is. I had a glimpse of what she was like this past year when she surprised a neighbor of mine at her bridal shower. I wasn’t there personally but heard about it from my neighbor Cheryl. It was soon all over the news and You Tube. Here’s the story. My neighbor is a huge fan of Taylor’s and she sent her an invitation to her bridal shower. Taylor showed up at the shower as a surprise to her big fan. You can see the short video of her arrival from the video on Taylor’s website. It’s so moving and a great glimpse into who Taylor is off stage.
While on fun videos, here is the video taking You Tube by a storm. The Dover Police DashCam Confessional Officer singing Taylor’s song, Shake it Off. It made me smile and who doesn’t like an opportunity to smile:)
Taylor Swift’s Nashville Home
Finally, on to Taylor’s house tour for this Week’s Worthy Reads Celebrity Home Tour thanks to ABC. I loved the black walls of her den/library, pictured above. The dark walls and bookcases make it so cozy and warm. What do you think of all the black? Yay or nay?
