It was sad to see the damage of Hurricane Matthew on the East Coast. If you were in the path of Matthew, I hope you and your loved ones are safe and were spared any property damage.
In Columbus we were blessed with gorgeous fall weather which was ideal for football over the weekend. One of my favorite things is watching The Ohio State University Marching Band perform Script Ohio, a tradition since 1936.
Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy this week’s Worthy Reads. My first one is about a travel bucket list. Everyone has a different list. Some prefer a more exotic trip and others are happy to stay close to home. This past year my husband and I decided to travel close to home instead of abroad and we did several road trips. We loved being in our car and traveling on our own time schedule. Where did you go this summer?
The Ultimate Travel Bucket List
Town & Country shared their The Ultimate Travel Bucket List. My husband would love to do a safari and Antarctica. Me, not so much. I much prefer lounging at a cafe on the Amalfi Coast. What’s on your list?
Recipe of the Week
I love one pot meals or as in this case, a one pan meal! This Rosemary Lemon Chicken and Potatoes recipe from Vikalinka is ideal for a chilly fall day. After all, comfort food is one of the best parts of colder weather!
Room of the Week
Have you brought out your heavier throws and blankets yet for fall? Look how cozy this bed is with the faux fur throw! Love this bedroom and mixture of textures as seen in Veranda Magazine.
1010 Park Place
Last week at 1010 Park Place I shared some lovely courtyard inspiration. Courtyards are so inviting and I love the privacy they offer.
A Guide to Fall Food
Since we should cook seasonally, I wanted to share a guide to some fall produce found at The Parenting Patch. I cook a lot but have to say I have never had a rutabaga. Have you? It’s on my list of produce to try this fall.

I love rutabaga, also known as swedes! Cubed, boil until fork tender. Drain. A little butter, salt & pepper! Delish!!!!!!
