There are over 1.5 Million iPhone apps on the market today but only a select dozen that I use on a regular basis and would miss if I didn’t have them.  Today’s post is about one of my favorites, the Key Ring App.  It’s free and has helped me organize my loyalty and frequent shopper cards.  It has eliminated the need to have those card tags on my key ring.

Key Ring App – Lighten Your Key Ring with this Great App

The front page of their website say sit all:  “Tame your cards.  With Key Ring, you can store all those pesky reward cards on your phone. No more fumbling. No more lost cards. Just savings made easier!”

Unfortunately, retailers have made it a necessity to carry these cards if you want to take advantage of their sale prices.   Gone are the days when something is simply on sale.

The loyalty card I use the most is at the grocery store.  I can easily access the card through my Key Ring App on my iPhone.  The clerk just scans it and it’s as easy as that.

To add your loyalty cards to the app, you just give the app permission to use your camera on the phone and then take a picture of the bar code on the back of your card.   The app is very user-friendly.

Local Sales and Special Offers from Nearby Retailers

As with most apps, I hardly use all of the features.  In fact, I really didn’t pay attention to these other services offered until I started writing this blog post.  For instance, you can pull up all of the weekly sales flyers for retailers near you such as Target, CVS, etc.  You can flip through every page of the flyer.

In the photo below, you can see that CVS’s weekly ad has 12 pages of sale items and specials.  It’s nice to go paperless and have everything available to you on your phone.

You can also search for specific offers from local retailers by Category.

Click on the category you are interested in and narrow it down further by selecting a retailer.

Local Loyalty Programs through Key Ring

Key Ring also offers some loyalty programs through their app.  In my city, there are 13 programs offered including Foot Locker and Express.

I have used this app for years just for my loyalty cards and my key ring is just that – a key ring.  I will now start to use it to take advantage of additional savings through their other features.
