I have heard so many people refer to their favorite department store recipes from their famous tea rooms, cafes and bistros. In Columbus, many of my friends fondly remember going to Lazarus Department Store downtown for shopping and lunch when they were younger.
Lazarus has been sold to Macy’s and many of the other favorites are no longer around such as Marshall Fields. Other stores such as Neiman Marcus can only be found in the bigger cities.
I researched to see which department store recipes were famous. I found several to share with you that had rave reviews. Some of from stores that no longer exist. Other recipes are currently being served at department store restaurants today. I can’t wait to try them.
