I have always loved fashion, food and home decor magazines. As a teen, I couldn’t wait for that big fall fashion issue. It was heaven. As I entered my twenties, I also enjoyed reading food magazines for recipes and decor magazines for my design inspiration. Magazines were my “go to” for keeping up with trends and for fresh ideas.
By creating this blog it was like creating my own fashion, food and decor magazine all in one. I love making things special – it doesn’t have to be complicated or over the top. A simple garnish to a serving tray, adding a scarf to an outfit or changing the handles on a door can make a huge difference!
Here’s a little insight into my style:
Music – No party should be without it. Period.
Gardening – My flower beds are my blank canvas that I get to color every spring.
Recipes – Don’t only make it delicious – make it look pretty too!
Entertaining – Our Supper Club Dinner Parties are some of our favorite to host.
Travel – I love to travel both in the US and Europe but have no desire to travel all of the continents.
Before & After pictures – they inspire me!
Decorating – I love an eclectic style with pops of color. Animal print is a signature of mine – Leopard is my favorite. But take note – A little goes a long way! Too much and it’s, well, TOO MUCH!
Favorite Blog Post – I loved participating in the One Room Challenge. I joined 90+ other bloggers as we accepted the challenge to remodel one room and document it through our blog. I chose my foyer as my challenge. You can see my Final Reveal here.
