We just returned from a wonderful visit to NYC. Our weather was amazing. We had blue skies without a cloud in sight as we walked across the Brooklyn Bridge.
Walking Across the Brooklyn Bridge
According to our iPhones, we walked 10 miles every day. I love seeing the city at different times of the year and always enjoy walking up and down the side streets looking at the beautiful homes decorated for the season.
Ready for Halloween in NYC
The most moving part was seeing the two pools at the World Trade Center site.
We walked around looking at the names, trying to find the name of our friend’s brother who died in one of the towers.
That was a small glimpse into our busy weekend. Now on to this week’s Worthy Reads.
Recipe of the Week
I am a huge coconut fan and thought this Almond Joy Coconut Pie from Life Love & Sugar sounded delicious. It’s on my list of desserts to try.
The 15 Secrets to Throwing a Classy Tailgate Party
Town & Country Magazine shared 15 Secrets to Throwing a Classy Tailgate Party. It’s always fun to gather with friends before a football game to tailgate.
1010 Park Place
At 1010 Park Place this past week, I featured my Favorite Family Soup Recipes that I have shared on the blog.
The Story Behind Lee Radziwill
The only thing I knew about Lee Radziwill was that she was the sister of Jackie Kennedy. I found this article about her in Town & Country Magazine interesting and thought you would too.
Room of the Week
This week’s room of the week is a beautiful foyer found on Elle Decor. I love the dark woodwork against the white walls. I also love the gorgeous antique foyer table and chandelier.
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by.

Thanks for the T&C link. I will enjoy this, I know. A number of years ago, I bought “One Special Summer,” by Jacqueline & Lee Bouvier, a most charming book. Lee was 18 and Jackie was 22 and they took their first trip to Europe together. They did all of the sketches and wrote about their trip as a special thank you present to their parents when they returned. I loved this book! I also enjoyed Carole Cradziwill’s “What Remains: A Memoir of Fate, Friendship and Love” about her cousin JFK, Jr and his wife. It’s a very touching memoir. I think it was written from the heart, not to capitalize on the Kennedy name.
XOXOX,

“One Special Summer” sounds like a book I would enjoy too! The Kennedy kids (Caroline and JFK, Jr.) were the same ages as my sister and me. It felt like a family member died when JFK, Jr. passed.
